Der Kunstkritiker und Kurator Prof. Dr. Elmar Zorn bezeichnet die Kunst von Bernhard Prinz als „satirisches Theater der Malerei … auf der Augenhöhe der großen Maler, handwerklich und künstlerisch um nichts weniger brillant als die sogenannten Klassiker“; die SZ schwärmt: „Bunt, skurril und tiefgründig“. Und das sind sie, seine Werke, die nun auch in einer „Limited Edition“ erhältlich sind: die großen Szenenbilder sind bunte Persiflagen der Medienlandschaft und Konsumgesellschaft. Auf dem Gemälde „Tea Time“ z. B. nimmt er sich die britische Gesellschaft mit einer in einer Telefonzelle duschenden Queen vor.

Prof. Dr. Elmar Zorn, art critic and curator, describes Bernhard Prinz’ art as a “satirical painting theatre … at eye level with the big painters, technically and artistically not less brilliant than the so-called classics”.
The Süddeutsche Zeitung (Germany’s biggest daily newspaper with a special focus on culture) enthuses about his paintings: “coloured, bizarre and profound”. And this is exactly what they are, his works which are now also available in a “limited edition”:
the big scenery paintings are colourful persiflages of the media landscape and the consumer society. With his painting “Tea Time” for example, he took the British society to task by painting the Queen while taking a shower within a telephone booth.
In his painting “Taste Parade” he caricatures today‘s big icons in a baroquely flamboyant and critical but nonetheless humorous way while they are shopping in a supermarket –
one can see stars like Angelina Jolie, Michael Jackson or hotel heiress Paris Hilton. The painting „Nostalgia“ with its harmonic colour scheme shows celebrities and iconic figures of today‘s
history – contemplative, straightforward but nonetheless playful.
